They are part of us. They define us, give more information about us, animals, things... Whether we like being defined or not, they are there and these drawings are part of a series I started.

Chimneys

I don't know why I love chimneys, maybe because they remind me of a past when there wasn't technology and life was simple.

Pull down the curtain!

This is part of the curtain in the theatre of the town I was born. It's very beautiful and it is also very old. The theatre opened in 1904 but it was renovated several times. On the below photograph you can see what it is like.              

Boiling

Sometimes I get surprised with simple things and I take a photo. This time I took one of water starting boiling, I love bubbles!!

The Saint James' Way

 This is a pilgrimage many people used to do in medieval times. Legend holds St. James was buried in the city of Santiago de Compostela, in the north of Spain (Galicia).
 Whenever St. James's day (25 July) falls on a Sunday, the cathedral declares a Holy or Jubilee Year, with different activities.

 My husband and I did from Roncesvalles (Navarra, near the French frontier) to Burgos (Castile and Leon). During our way we met an Italian man called Luigi. He was walking from Rome because his wife died and he was very sad.

BINGO!

I played bingo with children to review colours, numbers and family vocabulary. They liked it a lot! Although one of them wanted to win. He didn't do it and he got very angry.

Tea time

Tea time is the perfect moment to treat youself and your husband with something nice!  Guess which one is mine!! :)

I've always been interested in this kind of drawing and after watching something similar on tv, I decided to do it.

Immigrants

They are part of our everyday life, but we don't pay any attention to them. Sometimes I think they blend into the scenery as if they were invisible.That's why I normally have a smile for them saying I'm part of you and you are part of me.

This is the drawing I promised to post. It's been an adventure! Surfing Internet for info about the Victorian Era and Art Noveau. It's an amazing period with a lot of different things, and people making them. I love it!
